Dumpster Rental Sizes & Dimensions
We offer roll off dumpsters at C&G Containers in two sizes: 20 cubic yards and 24 cubic yards. Both sizes have their advantages, read below to find out which size is the perfect match for your project.
20 Cubic Yard Dumpster
A 20 cubic yard container is considered a “medium” sized container. It is a popular choice because of its versatility. It measures 8 ft x 6 ft x 14 ft. and can fit in a typical driveway. It is perfect for someone who does not have a ton of space, but still needs a good sized container. Its smaller size allows it to fit into spaces that longer roll off dumpsters can’t. It can hold about 10 pickup truck loads of debris and is ideal for:
- Flooring and carpet removal for a large house
- Garage, basement, or attic cleanup
- 300 to 400 square feet of deck removal
- 2,500 to 3,000 square feet of roof shingle removal
24 Cubic Yard Dumpster
A 24 cubic yard container is a “large” sized container and is ideal for larger projects. It measures 8 ft x 6 ft x 17 ft. The 24 cubic yard container could be an ideal choice for:
- New home construction
- Residential room demolition
- Shrub, brush, and tree removal
- Concrete (not completely filled)
When choosing which size dumpster is appropriate for your project, choosing a size that is too small can become expensive. Oftentimes if a dumpster ends up being too small, it will cost you more to rent a second dumpster than it would have to have gotten the larger size to begin with. Our advice is to play it safe and go with a larger size to save yourself from having to rent two dumpsters. If you are unsure about which size container you should get, contact us at (801) 794-0267 and we would love to help you find the container that is right for your project.
